Experience:
Randy is a native of Colorado, growing up in Greeley, Colorado. He has over ten years of experience, working in a large international firm and a large local firm in Denver, Colorado. Randy specializes in audits of organizations in the following industries: governmental and nonprofit, computer software development and technology, and manufacturing and distribution. He also has experience with consulting and compliance engagements in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404. Randy takes a special interest in utilizing these skills to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and internal controls over financial reporting and accounting.
In June of 2009, Randy was selected by the AICPA from over 100 nominees to participate in the inaugural AICPA leadership Academy, and has been selected by the University of Northern Colorado as an Honored Alumni for his charitable and community involvement. In October 2009, Randy was appointed by the AICPA to the Executive Committee of the Governmental Audit Quality Center. Randy presented at the 2009 CGFOA Annual Conference; "Audit Planning Considerations for Roundtable Discussion" and presented "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: Impact on Single Audits" at the 2010 CSCPA Governmental A&A Conference in October.
Randy remains committed to community and professional involvement. He has consistently had a role in the Active 20/30 Organization (in both Denver and Northern Colorado), a fundraising group supporting charities with a goal to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children. He remains highly active in activities at the University of Northern Colorado and is involved in the CPA societies that continue to shape the future of public accounting. Randy contributes articles various industry journals and presented the at the 2009 CGFOA Annual Conference; "Audit Planning Considerations for Roundtable Discussion". He will also be presenting at the 2010 Colorado Society of CPA's Governmental A&A conference.
Randy is also a member of the Colorado Government Finance Officers Association ("CGFOA") and Colorado Municipal League ("CML").
Randy is married and he and his wife have a daughter.
