Experience:
Mr. McCutcheon is Partner in Charge of the Nonprofit Organizations Practice of Anton Collins Mitchell LLP
(ACM). The Nonprofit Organizations Practice focuses solely on providing audit, tax and consulting services
to not-for-profit organizations and was created by combining McCutcheon & Company (a premier CPA firm
serving only NPOs) with the nonprofit practice area of ACM. Prior to founding McCutcheon & Company, Mr.
McCutcheon was a senior shareholder and director of Kundinger, McCutcheon, Corder & Engle, P.C. (KMCE),
where his practice focused exclusively on the non-profit sector. Prior to joining KMCE, Mr. McCutcheon was
the Chief Financial, Administrative and Planning Officer of a large nonprofit organization. He began his career
in public accounting with Price Waterhouse & Co. in Denver.
Mr. McCutcheon is involved in a number of professional and community activities, including:
Chairman of the Board of Directors (2005-2006), Member of the Board of Directors (2001-2003), Audit
Committee (2002, Chairman 2003), and Education Foundation (Ad Hoc 2003) of the Colorado Society of
Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Chairman of the CSCPA Not-for-Profit Committee (1999-2001).
Chairman of the CSCPA Not-for-Profit Conference Committee (2000, 2003). Member of the CSCPA Accounting
and Auditing Conference Committee (2002).
Governing Council member (2004-2007) American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Member of the AICPA Alternative Investments Task Force (2006).
Instructor for AICPA and CSCPA courses including “Auditing Non-profits – Tips and Traps”, “Budgeting for
Not-for-Profits”, “Managing Non-profits Like a Business” and “Advanced Non-profit Accounting Workshop”.
Education:
Mr. McCutcheon received his degree magna cum laude from the University of Colorado, where he was the
President of Beta Alpha Psi (the honorary and professional accounting fraternity). He is a graduate of Leadership
Denver. He holds a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing from the
AICPA.
