Jeff always takes a forward-looking approach to identify opportunities in tax law and business that can help clients accomplish their objectives and optimize results. His extensive experience in public accounting and tax practice includes all areas of federal and state income taxation, estate and trust taxation and planning, and international taxation, as well as business succession and investment partnerships. Jeff’s tax controversy work encompasses issues for many entity and industry types from examination through appeals levels.
One area on which he concentrates is family office management for high net-worth families, helping them manage compliance obligations and prepare for the future. He also serves as a trustee or administrator for numerous trusts and estates.
Jeff is considered an expert in energy industry tax issues, having assisted hundreds of energy companies in areas including royalty investors, midstream operations, brokerage, and domestic and international exploration and production. He also represents oil and gas producers in complex tax controversy.
He devotes considerable time to local arts and charitable organizations. In recognition of the extensive contributions he has made to his community over the past 40 years, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants named Jeff an “Everyday Hero.”
