Michael has over twenty-five years of public accounting and private industry experience. His most extensive work has been as advisor and principal in real estate lending, investment, and development transactions. He also specializes in due diligence and tax advising on mergers and acquisitions of small and mid-sized businesses, complex hedge fund partnership transactions, ASC 740 tax provisions for public companies, and business valuation.
Michael joined ACM in January of 2019. Prior to joining ACM, he spent over ten years with Arthur Andersen, Deloitte & Touche and Hanson & Co. He also spent fifteen years as a founder and principal of a private real estate and small business investment fund, an interim CFO for a real estate mezzanine finance and investment fund and independent consultant.
Michael has three children, enjoys the outdoors, coaches recreational community-based sports for his children, follows Notre Dame football far more closely than he should, and travels extensively. Over the past two years, his family has been to the UK, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia (including Bali), Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia.
